Seeraga Samba rice is the smallest grain, about one third the size of a grain of basmati rice. Samba rice has a distinct taste, defined as “starchy”. It is white in colour and aromatic and has extremely fine grains.This has a unique flavour, and scrunches up so when cooked, which is used in South Indian biryanis.It retains its texture and does not thicken into lumps which is a much essential characteristic for a good biryani.
