Leca is an acronym and it stands for : Lightweight expanded clay aggregate. Leca is a growing medium, like soil, in which you can grow your plants. Leca is a collection of baked clay balls that expand when you soak them in water. As opposed to using soil, Leca is not able to provide nutrients to your plants by itself. Using clay balls it's easier to properly water your plants. The risks of getting pests are reduced. Water drainage The biggest appeal seems to be the way that it helps to drain excess water, though they also keep enough nourishment for constant delivery of it to the roots. Sterile While expanded clay pellets last for a long time, they won’t actually nourish the plant. They have no nutritional value and are primarily meant to use as vessels for the other food provided to your plant. For this reason, they help to keep insects and bacteria away from the plant during growth. pH neutral This will bring no effect on the current soil used in the garden. You can combine it with any plant solutions and foundation you need for your garden, without worrying about its impact. These pellets are an inexpensive method of making nourishment go a long way. --- ADVANTAGES TO ADDING PUMICE TO YOUR GARDEN Ready To Use or Mix - Sifted Prior To Bagging to a perfect bonsai and Succulent Soil. Improve soil structure. Promotes Excellent Drainage. Long Life-To be able to continually replant
